We are looking to for an experienced Genetics Development Manager to drive the growth of LIC products and services in Ireland.
About you
You will be based in Ireland and will be responsible for selling LIC’s genetics to achieve sales targets, manage LIC Ireland’s Irish Bull Breeding (IBB) scheme and Nucleus Herd. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with our current partner in Ireland, Eurogene, supporting them to achieve targets, while also identifying opportunities to grow LIC sales in that market.
You will ensure educational and promotional initiatives are undertaken with farmers and partners in market to drive understanding of the value proposition of LIC’s world leading genetics.
You will work with the GM Europe and members of the LIC Europe team on suitable bull team offerings for Ireland, as well as business development opportunities.
Build and maintain strong links with industry partners and bodies in market to enable market access for LIC’s products.
You have the ability to effectively converse with farmers and have affinity for and knowledge of numerous International dairy industries, in particular Ireland and NZ.
Reporting directly to the GM Europe, you will need to demonstrate an understanding of LIC’s valuation proposition have a high level of understanding of or experience in the bovine artificial breeding industry, including knowledge of pedigrees and experience with animal evaluation data.
You will be responsible for the growth of semen sales and exploration of growth opportunities in this region, working closely with the LIC Europe team in order to drive the sustainable growth of LIC Ireland which in turn supports the International growth strategy.
